We received several emails from some newbies requesting more info about our events, instead of just hearing from us it would be nice if some of the more experienced profiles chimed in to make the newbies more comfortable and explain how things flow at off premise parties & Meet n Greets..?
Here's our take...unless we're at a LS club our parties are hosted at restaurants, bars or hotels and are strictly off-premise, they're social gatherings for like minded people and we typically tell the staff we're "a social networking group" meeting for fun. We have several events posted but for arguments sake the Farmers Daughter is a themed party at the Ramada Plaza in Toronto, last year we had just shy of 300 people attend, we didn't advertise it on this site so we're hoping to have more this year. We'll have a DJ playing dance club music, people hang out, mingle, dance, get to know each other or just keep to themselves and enjoy the atmosphere. It's really not anywhere near as frightening as you might think, promise. Our events are catered to couples and single ladies and only a few select gents, we limit the number of single men in attendance. Everyone is very well behaved and respectful. We also have a great relationship with the owners of Oasis which is right across the parking lot from the hotel, it's a club with a spa atmosphere and admission will be reduced. You can do both party & Oasis or just stick to one of those if you prefer.
We'll also host other Meet n Greets, some dinner outings and some outings to Oasis and other clubs over the course of the year. Those are all good opportunities to get your feet wet by meeting some people. Join our group, we'll announce events as they get planned and you can decide if you want to attend any of them :-)

Hey being new to this whole thing i appriciate the info you posted awsome. Some more insight would be apreciated
Not sure what else we can add but we're just a LS couple like many on this site and our details are in our profile. From time to time we host parties and such, they'll be posted in the events calendar and the ones that are there already have a lot of info in them. We're fairly active on another LS site and we thought we'd give this one a try again, seems pretty quiet in here for now but clearly a lot of people are lurking. If you have a specific questions we'll try to answer them :-)
<-------- I'll be wearing that baseball cap with the the letters "OFL" on the front in Wasaga tomorrow (Sat) at the new bike rally. We've arranged a Meet n Greet there at one of the big 3 bars. Working with the management we've arranged for our group to bypass any lineups and we'll also have the cover charge waived. If you see me there flag me down.
Of course, if you have personal questions we might answer those too :-)
