Silly Questions Also some practical advice

I have notices two tendencies here, and on other sites. Many people have very little information in their profile, or when they make contact, seem to have not read my profile. For the first, I would wonder what type of response is expected. This type of site does attract many that are less than scrupulous. A minimalist profile raises flags. If you are new, and don't know what to say, say that and then have a look at profiles that appeal to you and makes yours similar. For the second; this just makes you look lazy. Read the profile before you respond. Write an attractive email that will appeal to you. Take some time, your efforts will be rewarded

I think a lot of people are just really nervous when they join a site like this for the first time. For me, I don't know who might be able to see my profile. I don't know if someone here might know someone I know. All I know is that the people I work with would love to have information like this to use as the basis for their so called jokes or to use to gain advantage over me. Maybe they will never see it, but I would rather not take that chance.
